How your machine connects, in one picture.

Your machine calls Kapable. Kapable never calls your machine. It opens one outgoing, encrypted connection and keeps it open, and work comes back down that same line. We call that line a tunnel.

  1. You open no ports and set up no VPN. Nobody on the internet can reach in to the machine.
  2. Each machine has its own key. Revoke the key, or switch the machine off, and the connection is gone.
  3. A machine works for your company only. We never send it another company’s work.

A runner is a machine of yours that builds your apps when you push code. Make a one-time code on the Runners page, run one install command, and your pushes build there. The runner never holds your git password: each build gets a one-time key for one version of the code.

Kapable Conductor: AI on your own Claude plan

Kapable Conductor is a small app for a Mac. When an AI colleague or the Design app has work to do, the Claude session runs on that Mac, on your company’s own Claude plan. The spend is on your plan, not ours.

The Claude session, and your Claude sign-in. We never see the sign-in.

The screen you work in, the messages to and from the session, the code being changed, and a record of each run and its cost.

Bring the agent tools you prefer.

In Kapable Conductor you can run Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Kimi or Pi. Pick the tool when you start a session. A workflow can give each step to a different tool, and stop for a person to approve.

Before you start. Install each tool on your Mac and sign in with your own account for it; Conductor uses that sign-in. Gemini is not supported yet. Spend tracking and several Claude accounts work for Claude Code only. Tell us which tools you use at [email protected].

What is a runner?

A computer of yours that does the building when your code changes. Kapable tells it what to build, it builds, and it sends the result back. It builds for your company only.

What is Kapable Conductor?

A small app on a Mac that runs AI work for Kapable on your own Claude plan. You keep using Kapable as usual. The AI thinking happens on your Mac, and your Claude plan pays for it.

What is a tunnel?

How your machine and Kapable talk without you opening anything. Your machine calls out to Kapable and keeps the line open, like a phone call you started. Work comes back down that line. Nobody can call in.

Does my data stay on my machine?

Some of it does. Each card above says what stays with you and what goes through Kapable. Your code and your chat live in Kapable’s cloud unless you run the core on your own server.

Who pays for the AI when it runs on my Mac?

Your company’s Claude plan. It is not taken from your Kapable AI allowance. Kapable’s monthly spend limits do not cover this work yet.

Can I use Windows, or an older Intel Mac?

Not yet. Runners work on Linux and on Macs with Apple silicon. Kapable Conductor works on Macs with Apple silicon. Today we install Conductor with you.
